Bangladesh allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has signed with Lahore Qalandars for the playoffs of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025). The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has approved his no-objection certificate (NOC), and he is expected to arrive in Lahore by Tuesday.
The playoffs begin on Wednesday. Lahore Qalandars will play the Eliminator match on Thursday, although their opponent has not yet been confirmed.
PSL 2025: Mehidy Excited for PSL Opportunity

In a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, Mehidy expressed his excitement about joining the Qalandars, even if it is only for one match.
“Of course, it is exciting for me to join Lahore Qalandars,” Mehidy said. “It’s technically the second time I have been called up to a franchise league. Still, it is a great chance to play at a high level. PSL is one of the top tournaments in the world. I’ve done well in the BPL before, so I’m confident I can perform.”
Mehidy also mentioned that this opportunity could help him return to Bangladesh’s T20I squad. He was not selected for the current T20I series against UAE or the upcoming series in Pakistan.
“I want to improve in the T20 format so I can be ready when selection opportunities come. My goal is to return to the Bangladesh T20I team,” he added.

Reuniting with Shakib Al Hasan

At Lahore Qalandars, Mehidy will join his long-time Bangladesh teammate Shakib Al Hasan.
Shakib joined the team recently, along with Bhanuka Rajapaksa, after David Wiese and Sam Billings did not return to Pakistan. Sikandar Raza played only one match before leaving to join Zimbabwe’s squad for a Test against England.
Shakib played his first match of the resumed PSL season on Sunday. He was dismissed on the first ball and gave away 18 runs in two overs without taking a wicket.
